In the Fall of 2002, The Palms Hotel hired Hotel eMarketing to
create a comprehensive Internet marketing strategy for the
hotel. As part of the overall plan, our consultants
worked with hotel management to optimize the hotel website to
improve it's ranking in the top search engines.

Situation
South Beach Miami is home to some of
the "hippest" hotels on the East Coast, and The Palms Hotel is
no exception. The Palms Hotel hired a professional
design firm to design a "hip" website using Flash and the
latest web technology.
Challenge
While the design firm succeeded in
building a great site, the site ranked very poorly in the
leading search engines - even under the keyword "The Palms
Hotel".
Solution
Hotel eMarketing worked with the hotel to redesign the site
and make it more search engine friendly. We eliminated
the Flash entry page, but managed to keep some of the flash
navigation and maintain the hip look and feel of the original
site. We re-designed the site, re-wrote some of the
content and ultimately made it more search engine friendly.
Result
Today, The Palms Hotel ranks number 1 in
the natural search results of Google and other search engines
under the hotels primary keyword phrase "South Beach Hotel",
which had over 30,000 searches in January 2003.
